Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – The God Of Comfort

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you…”
(Isaiah 66:13, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

Oftentimes, when people face challenges, they seek comfort by surrounding themselves with things that are familiar. It may be work, a sport or hobby; it may be relationships; or of course, we all know about comfort food. But those things are only temporary, and they can only bring temporary comfort. True, lasting comfort is available, and it’s only found in a personal relationship with God, the Father through our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

According to Webster’s dictionary, comfort means to give strength and hope; to ease grief or trouble. No matter what difficulty you may be facing today, God wants to bring you comfort. Like a mother cares for her child, He longs to give you strength, hope and confidence. Make the decision to put Him first in every area of your life. Let go of those things you know are holding you back. Let Him be Lord over all! As you surrender to His grace, you will be filled with His peace and joy. You’ll be empowered to overcome every obstacle, and you will live in victory all the days of your life.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, I come to You today and invite You to fill my whole being. Give me Your lasting comfort and strength. Empower me by Your Holy Spirit to live in the victory You have established for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

For As The Heavens Are Higher Than The Earth (Isaiah 55:8-9)

” For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the LORD. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts.” (Isaiah 55:8-9 ESV)

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Garment Of Praise

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Provide for those who grieve…a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.”
(Isaiah 61:3, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

What type of attitude are you wearing today? What’s covering your mind and emotions? Are you clothed with despair and disappointment? Are you wearing “heaviness?”

If you’ve recently gone through a hurtful or disappointing situation, there is a season to grieve a loss. It’s important to go through that process and release the hurt to God. But the Bible also says that God wants to give you a garment of praise instead of a spirit of heaviness or despair. He wants to exchange your hurt for His healing. He wants to fill you with His peace and joy.

Are the garments of yesterday holding you back and weighing you down? Maybe it’s time to exchange that heaviness for His garment of praise. Maybe it’s time to release those heavy burdens. Maybe it’s time to forgive those who have hurt you and begin to praise your way to victory. When you wear a garment of praise, you’ll stand strong and display His splendor all the days of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, I come to You with an open and humble heart. I ask that You take my old garments of despair and heaviness. Make me new today. Give me a garment of praise and have Your way in my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Find Peace Today

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”
Isaiah 26:3, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

Do you need peace in your life today? Are you feeling frustrated, hopeless or like things are beyond your control? The first question to ask yourself is, “What do I have my mind set on? What am I thinking about?” If you are focused solely on your circumstances or how impossible everything is, it’s going to affect your peace level. But when you keep your mind stayed on God and what He can do in your life, when you get your mind going in the right direction, then you are setting yourself up for peace.

You may be going through difficulty today; you may be in overwhelming circumstances in your life; however, God still promises you peace in the midst of the storm. He promises that He will preserve you when you call on Him. Choose to keep your mind focused on the Father. Be empowered by meditating on His Word. Find peace today by putting your trust and hope in Him.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for peace that passes understanding. I receive it as a blanket of comfort to my heart, mind and emotions. I choose to keep my mind stayed on You and thank You for ordering my steps in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – In An Instant

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…And in an instant, suddenly, you shall be visited and delivered by the Lord of hosts…”
(Isaiah 29:5-6, AMPC)

TODAY’S WORD:

Throughout the Bible, we have examples of how God suddenly showed Himself strong on behalf of His people. But sometimes when we’ve struggled in an area for a long time, it’s easy to just give up and accept things the way they are. One of the enemy’s favorite lies is to tell you that nothing is ever going to change. He’ll tell you that you’re never going to get well, that your marriage isn’t going to work out, that you’re never going to break that addiction. But I want to tell you today, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in those circumstances, God can change things in an instant! In a split second of time, He can turn it all around. One touch of God’s power can heal your body. One touch of His favor can promote you. One touch of His goodness can solve that problem. Just one touch from Almighty God can instantly change your life.

I encourage you today, keep believing, keep standing, and keep hoping. Don’t let the enemy drag your thoughts down because God is working behind the scenes. Your time is coming, and I declare that your breakthrough is going to happen suddenly—in an instant!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, I choose to trust that You are working things out for my good. I choose to stand in faith, believing that my season of breakthrough is coming. Give me Your strength and peace as I patiently wait on You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Make Preparations

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…Prepare the way for the Lord…”
(Isaiah 40:3, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

Everyone goes through seasons of waiting. A lot of times, people just sit back and wait for God to do everything. But, you have to remember to do your part and make preparations. You have to talk like it’s going to happen and act like it’s going to happen. Some people might say, “Well, Joel, what if I do this and it doesn’t happen?” But I say what if you do and it does happen? And even if things don’t turn out the way you had hoped, you’d still be better off living your life positive and hopeful than you would to go around down and discouraged.

I love what David said in the Bible, “God, my times are in Your hands.” He was saying, “God, I don’t know when it’s going to happen, but I know You know what’s best for me.” I’m going to go out today expecting good things. And even if it doesn’t happen, I’m not going to go to bed all disappointed. I’m going to go to bed knowing that I’m one day closer to seeing my dreams and desires come to pass!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father in heaven, I dedicate this day to You. Show me how to prepare for You to move in my life. Help me guard my words and thoughts as I put my trust in You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Waking Faith: Is Your Focus Where It Should Be?

Lift up your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these? He who brings out the starry host one by one and calls forth each of them by name. Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.” (Isaiah 40:26)

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – It Is Well With You

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Tell the righteous it will be well with them, for they will enjoy the fruit of their deeds.”
(Isaiah 3:10, NIV)

TODAY’S WORD:

No matter what’s happening in your life, God wants you to know that it is well with you today! Now you may say, “Joel, it is not well in my finances. I’m struggling. I’m in debt.” That’s okay. It’s not the end. God is still working. Jehovah-Jireh, the Lord your Provider, has breakthroughs coming your way. If all is not well in your health, don’t get discouraged. It’s not the end. God has healing and restoration coming your way. If all is not well in your family or in a relationship, don’t write a child or spouse off. They may be on the wrong course, but it’s not the end. In the end, God promises all will be well.

Remember, our God does not end in defeat. He didn’t say, “Most of the time, I will cause you to triumph.” No, He said, “I will always cause you to triumph.” You may go through difficulties, through unfair situations or through betrayals, but the point is that you are going through. You’re not staying there! It’s not permanent. Defeat is not your normal state. If all is not well in your life that simply means you haven’t made it to your new destination. Stay in faith, keep declaring His Word and keep moving forward because it is well with you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for Your Word which is life and health to my soul. I trust that You are working behind the scenes for my good. I will hide Your Word in my heart, knowing that it will be well with me because You are good and faithful in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – He Knows How It Ends

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done…”
(Isaiah 46:10, NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD:

Sometimes I will record a football game and watch it when I get home later. Most times, I already know how the game ends. I’ve talked to friends or watched the news. I know my team wins. While I’m watching, I don’t get discouraged if my team falls behind. I don’t get uptight if it’s halftime and we still haven’t scored. I’m totally at peace. Why? I already know the outcome. The truth is that the further behind we fall, the more excited I am because that means a big comeback is on its way. I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen.

As believers, God has promised us victory. You may go through disappointments. At times, it seems like you’re far behind. But you’ve got to remind yourself, “God holds my future in the palm of His hand. He already knows the outcome. God never ends in defeat!” I’m going to come out of this better and stronger than ever before! Remember, He knows how it ends, and it ends in peace, joy and victory in every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father God, how awesome You are! Thank You for declaring victory over my life. I choose to trust Your Word, even when I don’t understand. I trust that You are good and that my end shall be in victory in Jesus’ name! Amen.
