A Little Sleep, A Little Slumber

(Proverbs 24:30-34)

I passed by the field of a sluggard, by the vineyard of a man lacking sense,

and behold, it was all overgrown with thorns; the ground was covered with nettles, and its stone wall was broken down.

Then I saw and considered it; I looked and received instruction.

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest,

and poverty will come upon you like a robber, and want like an armed man.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – He Prepares The Way For Victory

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…”
2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

There are times in life when we all face situations that seem impossible. It’s easy to get discouraged and think that things won’t ever work out. But the scripture tells us that God goes before us and makes our crooked places straight. In other words, even though you may not have the connections you need right now, you don’t have to worry. God is going before you lining up the right people, arranging the right breaks, and setting up the right opportunities. He is preparing the way for victory!

Today, if you are facing difficulty, don’t fall into the temptation to get negative and sour. That adversity is no surprise to God. He’s not up in the heavens scratching His head and thinking, “Oh, no. Now what am I going to do?” No, He already has every day of your life written in His book. Before you had that problem, God already had the solution. He is going before you right now preparing the next chapter of your life. Stay in faith and keep the right attitude because He is moving you forward into the victory He has prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for ordering and directing my steps. Thank You for working behind the scenes on my behalf. I choose today to trust in You, knowing that You are good, and You always lead me into victory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – New Places

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…you have not passed this way before.”
Joshua 3:4, ESV

TODAY’S WORD:

God desires to take you to new places in your life. He wants to take you to deeper places in your walk with Him, and He wants to take you into higher places of blessing in your life. Are you ready to go to places that you’ve never been before?

So many people today get stuck in a rut because they don’t want to get out of their comfort zone. They want to stay with what they know because it’s familiar.

But in order for you to reach your full potential, you have to be willing to step out into the unknown. You won’t ever walk on water until you step out of the boat! We all have areas where we can rise higher. Open your heart today and be ready to step out into the unknown. Trust that the Lord will guide and order your every step. Begin to expect that the unexpected is on the way. Be ready to step out into new places.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for bringing me increase in every area of my life. Thank You for taking me to new places. I expect that You are working behind the scenes in my life, and I open my heart to all You have for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Sweet Sleep

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.”
Psalm 4:8, ESV

TODAY’S WORD:

God promises to give blessings to His beloved in sleep! He wants you to rest securely in Him and be rejuvenated nightly in your mind and body.

Sleep is so important not only to our physical health, but also our spiritual well being. When we are well rested, we are better able to handle the things that come our way. It’s easier to keep our hearts and minds in the right place so we can stand stronger and make better decisions.

If you haven’t been sleeping well lately, ask God to show you what you need to do to get back on track. Do you have cares you need to cast on Him? Are you worrying instead of worshiping? Has a spirit of fear crept in? Do you need to make better decisions about what time to go to bed? Remember, God wants you to be rested. He wants you to be rejuvenated and revived so that you can be your best for Him!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

Father, thank You for giving me the gift of sweet sleep. Help me to cast my cares on You and make it a priority to stay well rested so I can live the life You have designed for me in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Bring Forth The Treasures

Today’s Scripture:

A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him…
Matthew 12:35, NIV.

Today’s Word:

Recently, there was an article that told how the wealthiest places on earth are not the oil fields of the Middle East nor the diamond mines of South Africa. The wealthiest places are the cemeteries. Buried in the ground are businesses that were never formed, songs that were never sung, books that were never written, potential that was never realized, and dreams that never came to pass.

Friend, don’t let that be you! Don’t go to your grave with your treasure still in you. Keep growing. Keep learning. Step out in faith and trust God. Bring forth the good treasure that God has placed within you. If you don’t know where to start, start by meditating on His Word. Let Him speak to your heart. Learn to hear His voice. Learn to obey quickly. Trust that He is good and will lead you in the path He has prepared for you.

Prayer for Today:

Father, thank You for the good treasures You’ve deposited in me. I will be faithful to develop what You’ve entrusted to me. Help me, by Your Spirit, to stay close to You and follow Your leading every step of the way in Jesus’ name. Amen.
