Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Greater Love

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”
John 15:13, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Today is Memorial Day in America. It’s a time to honor all those who have given their lives in service for our country. As we remember what these brave men and women did, let’s honor the gift they have given us by choosing to show greater love to others.

I’m so thankful that Jesus loved us enough to lay down His life so that we could spend eternity with Him. He was the ultimate expression of love. But did you know that there are ways you can lay down your life to express your love to others? When you let go of having your own way, or when you put the needs and desires of others above your own desires, that’s a form of laying down your life. Today, choose to follow Christ‘s example by putting others first because love is all that matters in eternity.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for another day to praise You. Thank You for being the ultimate example of love. Help me follow Your example and lay down my life for others. Let everything I do bring honor to You in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Setup For A Comeback

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again…”
Proverbs 24:16, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Life is full of things that try to push us down. We all face disappointments and setbacks. Maybe you got some bad news concerning your health, or maybe a relationship didn’t work out. That was a setback. It’s easy to get discouraged, lose your enthusiasm, or even be tempted to just settle where you are. But if we’re going to see God‘s best, we have to have a “bounce-back” mentality. That means when you get knocked down, you don’t stay down. You get back up again. You have to know that every time adversity comes against you, it’s a setup for a comeback!

Remember, as a believer, the same power that raised Christ from the dead lives on the inside of you. There is no challenge too difficult, no obstacle too high, no sickness, no disappointment, no person, nothing that can keep you from your God-given destiny. If you stay in faith and keep a good attitude, you will rise again. God will turn those stumbling blocks into stepping stones, and you’ll move forward into His victory!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for setting me up for success in everything I do. I choose to trust and rely on You knowing that Your plans are for my good. I know my best days are up ahead, and I look forward to the blessings You have in store for me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – It’s Time To Thrive

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.”
3 John 1:2, NKJV

TODAY’S WORD:

Many people today are living in “survival mode.” If they can just make it through the day, they’ve accomplished their goal. And, there are times when circumstances can seem overwhelming. There are seasons that are more difficult than others. But God doesn’t want us to just survive, He wants us to thrive. He wants us to prosper in all things.

One definition of the word “thrive” means “to realize a goal despite circumstances.” That means you can prosper in all things no matter what is going on around you. You don’t have to settle for an average year; you can have an extraordinary year. You may be planning on just getting by, but God is planning on abundance. He’s planning on overflow. It’s time to get into agreement with God. It’s time to walk in His ways. It’s time see your dreams come to pass. It’s time to thrive because God has a plan for you to prosper in every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for the gift of today. I choose to cast my cares on You knowing that You care about me and for me. Help me to see the good plan You have for me so that I can thrive the way You intended in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – The Report Of The Lord

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“I have heard a report from the Lord…”
Jeremiah 49:14, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

Every day we get “reports” from the news, our experiences, our friends and family, and many other sources. We also get reports from the Word of God, which oftentimes contradicts what everyone else is saying. That’s when we have a choice to make. Do we believe what we hear in the natural, or do we believe the report of the Lord?

We serve a supernatural God! Just because we don’t see a way doesn’t mean that He doesn’t have a way. God can bring one opportunity across your path that will thrust you to new levels. He has explosive blessings that can blast you out of debt and into a place of abundance. What you’re facing today may be impossible with man, but with God, all things are possible!

Choose today to believe the report of the Lord. Stand strong no matter what is going on around you knowing that He has a plan to lead you into victory in every area of your life!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, I choose to believe Your Word above all else. I know that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Help me to tune out the negative voices of the world so that I can focus on Your goodness all the days of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – He’s Working In You

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 1:6, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Sometimes, when God is doing a work in our lives, things can get a little uncomfortable. We may encounter people who are hard to get along with or experience circumstances that seem beyond our control. When this happens, instead of getting upset or complaining, why don’t you pause and say, “Lord, thank You for doing a work in me.”

God is more interested in changing you than He is in changing your circumstances. If you choose to stay sour because you’re not getting your way, or if you get discouraged because things aren’t happening on your own timetable, that’s going to keep you stuck.

If you want to see change, if you want to see God open up new doors, the key is to bloom right where you’re planted. You can’t wait until everything gets better before you decide to have a good attitude. You have to be the best that you can be right where you are. When you bloom where you’re planted, you’re allowing God to work in you, and He will be faithful to complete what He’s started in you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for doing a work in me. I choose to align myself with Your plan by blooming where I’m planted. Help me, by Your Spirit, to be an example of Your love and life everywhere I go in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Choose To Trust

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust…”
Psalm 40:4, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

Trusting in the Lord is a decision we make just like any other decision we make in life. You chose what to wear today, you probably chose what you would have for breakfast, and you can choose to trust God today, too! When you choose to trust God, there is peace that settles in your heart. There are blessings in store when you put your trust in Him.

No matter what you are facing today, you can have faith that God will come through for you. You can trust that His Word is always true. In Psalm 32, David calls God his “hiding place.” In other words, not only can you choose to trust God in the midst of your difficulty; you can hide in Him and find rest for your soul.

When the circumstances of life seem overwhelming, choose to trust that God is ordering your steps. Find security in Him knowing that He’s making your crooked places straight and leading you into the everlasting life He has prepared for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, today I choose to put my trust in You. I know You are a good and faithful God. I hide myself in you and trust that You have my best interest at heart. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – This One Thing

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead.”
Philippians 3:13, NLT

TODAY’S WORD:

Are you focused on forgetting the past? Many people don’t fully understand what that means. They wonder, “How can I forget something that’s happened to me?” But one definition of the word forget is to “disregard intentionally or to overlook.” What this verse is saying is that you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn’t keep you from moving forward. That means the good and the bad. Even our past victories can sometimes keep us from rising higher. If we don’t let go of the old, we’ll never be able to embrace the new.

It doesn’t matter what’s happened in your history, it’s time to forget what lies behind. Make the choice today to look forward. Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. As you forget what lies behind and press forward, you will see the abundant life the Lord has in store for you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, I choose to forget the past today. I don’t want anything to hold me back from the good future You have prepared for me. I choose forgiveness and ask that You help me by Your Spirit to press forward in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – He Gives Us The Victory

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

God wants to pour out His favor on you so that you can live in victory in every area of your life. The scripture says He always causes us to triumph through Christ Jesus. That means, no matter what you may be facing today, God wants to make you more than a conqueror. Are you battling sickness? God wants to give you healing. Are you struggling with a broken relationship? God wants to give you restoration and peace. Are you facing a need—physically, spiritually or emotionally? God’s favor will bring you provision and supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory.

Many times in the Bible when God’s people were going into battle, the worshipers were out in front of the warriors. When you choose to worship, when you are thankful and bless the Lord in the midst of your battle, you are opening the door to His favor in your life. It’s important to magnify your God; don’t magnify your problems! When you give God praise, He gives you the victory!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, today I give You thanks for Your mercy and faithfulness in my life. Thank You for leading me into victory! I magnify You and bless Your holy name today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Content Whatever The Circumstances

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“…I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
Philippians 4:11, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

It’s easy to get so focused on our dreams, our goals and what we want that it consumes us. We can get to the point where we’re not going to be happy until it happens. But I’ve found that if we have to have something in order to be happy, our lives are out of balance. When our goals and dreams start to frustrate us, when we lose our peace and are not enjoying life, that’s a sure sign that we’re holding on too tightly. What’s the solution? You’ve got to release it. Freedom comes when you say, “God, I’m turning it all over to You. You know my desires, and You know what’s best for me. I’m choosing to trust You and Your timing.”

When we learn to be content whatever the circumstances, it takes away the power of the enemy. It takes away his ability to frustrate us. Not only that, but by our actions, we show our faith in God. Choose to trust in His timing; choose to live in peace and joy, and find rest knowing that He has good things in store for your future.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, today I choose to trust in You. I release frustration over the dreams and desires in my heart, knowing that You know what’s best for me. I choose to trust in Your timing because You are faithful in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – A Heart At Peace

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.”
Proverbs 14:30, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

The best thing you can do for health is to set your heart at peace with God. Peace is such a powerful position. It is a position of life and strength. Peace literally means “to set at one again.” In other words, we have peace when our minds and hearts are “at one” with the Word of God.

It’s so easy to let the pressures and distractions of life pull our thoughts away from the Father. It doesn’t take long before we are so focused on earthly things that we feel overwhelmed and all stressed out. But we weren’t meant to live anxious about life, we were meant to live in peace.

Today, keep your heart at peace by staying focused on God the Father. Sow life to your body by staying in agreement with Him. Let His peace guard your heart so that you can be equipped to live the abundant life He has promised to you!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for Your Word which is life to my soul. I praise You because You are the Prince of Peace. I choose to set my heart and mind on You today. Thank You for guiding my every step in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – Make Way For Victory

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“But thanks be to God, Who gives us the victory [making us conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
1 Corinthians 15:57, AMP

TODAY’S WORD:

God desires for you to live in victory in every area of your life. The scripture says He always causes us to triumph through Christ Jesus! No matter what you may be facing today, God wants to make you more than a conqueror. Are you battling sickness? God wants to give you healing. Are you struggling with a broken relationship? God wants to give you restoration and peace. Are you facing a need—physically, spiritually or emotionally? God wants to give you provision and supply all of your needs according to His riches in glory.

Notice this verse starts out by saying, “Thanks be to God.” In the Bible, when God’s people were going into battle, many times they sent the worshipers out in front of the warriors. When you choose to be thankful and bless the Lord in the midst of your battle, you are making a way for Him to move in your life. Start today by thanking Him for His goodness. Magnify your God; don’t magnify your problems. Give Him thanks and make the way for victory!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, today I give You thanks for Your mercy and faithfulness to me. Thank You for always leading me into victory! I magnify You and bless Your holy name in Jesus’ name! Amen.

Today’s Word With Joel & Victoria Osteen – One Another

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:

“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.”
Ephesians 4:32, NIV

TODAY’S WORD:

In this day and age, it’s easy to become distracted, almost consumed with all the obligations we have on a daily basis. Cell phones, computers, the internet have all made it so much easier to pack more into our days. And while technology is a great blessing to us, we have to remember that how much we get done isn’t as important as how we treat others. We should never be so focused on plowing through our “to do” list that we mistakenly plow past the people in our lives.

This verse in Ephesians simply reminds us to be kind, compassionate and forgiving. If people had to be reminded back in those times, how much more do we need to be reminded today! We should always be on the lookout for ways we can be kind to one another. Can you share a smile with someone or an encouraging word? Can you help meet a need?

Remember, as a believer, you are the hands and feet of Jesus. Look for ways to serve one another. Sow a seed of kindness and watch the harvest of blessing in your own life in return!

PRAYER FOR TODAY:

“Father, thank You for another day to live for You. Help me find creative ways to show kindness to the people You’ve put in my life. Show me ways I can sow seeds and be a blessing to others. Thank You for equipping me to be Your representative and live in victory in every area of my life in Jesus’ name. Amen.
